Description

Gulf Stream Search is a top food industry recruiting firm that specializes in placing Food Safety, Quality, Quality Systems and FSQA professionals with leading companies in food, beverage, ingredient, flavor, dietary and nutritional supplement companies.

We're working with a client to help them hire a Quality Systems Specialist for their production facility near Madison, WI.

Responsibilities

This role's primary responsibilities include maintaining the company's Quality Management Systems and keeping the facility compliant with all regulatory standards.

Participating in and facilitating internal audits
Managing CAPA programs
Identifying continuous improvement opportunities and participating in CI projects, especially those involved with Quality, Quality Systems, Food Safety and Cost of Quality initiatives
Work cross-functionally to insure documentation controls are maintained
Lead and participate in Quality, Food Safety and Continuous Improvement training

Skills

Must have a minimum of 2 years experience as a Food Safety, Quality Control, Quality Systems or Quality Assurance Coordinator / Technician / Specialist in a food, beverage, ingredient, flavor, nutritional supplement, dietary supplement or pharmaceutical production environment.

This experience must include aspects of supplier quality, internal audits, inspections, CAPA programs, QMS software management, document control or regulatory compliance, quality control, or quality assurance.

Qualifications

Must have a minimum of 2 years experience as a Food Safety, Quality Control, Quality Systems or Quality Assurance Coordinator / Technician / Specialist in a food, beverage, ingredient, flavor, nutritional supplement, dietary supplement or pharmaceutical production environment.

This experience must include aspects of supplier quality, internal audits, inspections, CAPA programs, QMS software management, document control or regulatory compliance, quality control, or quality assurance.

Education

Must have a bachelor degree in Microbiology, Biology, Chemistry, Food Science or related fields
