Description

Gulf Stream Search is an executive search firm that specializes in the placement of top talent in the food, beverage, ingredient and flavor companies in the US.

We are currently helping a company identify a Food or Sensory Scientist who'll focus on working internally and externally on sensory-related projects and programs.

This role is an excellent opportunity to work on sensory programs that are at the forefront of new product innovation at a unique time in history.  You'll get to apply your product development and sensory science experience on internal projects as well as with external customers.

Responsibilities

You'll work on a broad range of sensory related projects with internal partners as well as external customers.
Apply correct testing methodologies to ensure accurate and reliable insights for customers and internal teams.
Design sensory panels and consumer testing events
Develop descriptive, discrimination and consumer guidance tests, analyze findings and disseminate reports as appropriate

Skills

Data analysis - managing large amounts of disparate data
Sensory testing methodologies
Coordinating sensory tests
Project management

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in a product development, technologist, technical services, sensory science or consumer insights role with a heavy emphasis and track record in data analysis.
• Strong communication skills born from working with external food or beverage customers(brand-side), suppliers, 3rd party sensory firms or internal partners on brand-side
• Expertise in all types of sensory testing, sensory panels and testing methods

Education

Bachelor degree in Food Science or Sensory Science
