A scaling SaaS company client of ours has asked us to help them identify a Vice President of Customer Success | Vice President of Solutions to help them scale their account solutions, onboarding and account expansion strategies.

The simplest way to view what you'll be accountable for is your focus will be on building out the systems internally and with customers that allow the companies to achieve "TIME TO VALUE" in the shortest time possible with the company's solutions.

If you're under consideration, we'll help you to understand how the company is currently structured and how this function aligns with sales and the implementation teams.

The team in place has done exceptionally well at operating off a blueprint that's allowed them a strong reputation in their vertical markets(consumer goods, process manufacturers, food, beverage).

The VP will be responsible for scaling out the blueprint and optimizing the post-sale coaching and performance management at the customer site level.

As the customer achieves their objectives, the VP and team will be scouting additional opportunities to impact the customer, working hand in hand with the internal product team to develop an ongoing product roadmap for the future.

The last area of responsibility will be that of industry subject matter expert - you'll get the opportunity to showcase your industry expertise and connect with your personal network as a thought leader.

You'll partner internally with the sales team, marketing team and the company's network of partners to build awareness, network and ultimately develop leads and introductions for the company's sales team to engage on.

A NOTE ON TRAVEL - travel is likely to fall into the 30-40% range, mostly for the purposes of visiting customer sites.

A NOTE ON WORK FROM HOME | REMOTE - the VP can be based anywhere in the US, although stronger preference will be towards individuals who are a) based near a major airport b) are based near manufacturing hubs and c) Midwest or West Coast based


Strong communication skills and presence - the VP will be viewed both internally as well as with prospects and customers as someone who embodies the solutions the company markets - performance improvement, continuous improvement, operational excellence and product quality.

An innate ability to influence and articulate the future vision of a customer's capabilities at the site level - you'll not only own this capability yourself, but you'll help develop the Solutions team who'll be responsible for working with customers to create a future state and strategy to attain it.

As a Vice President, your primary responsibility will be to create successful outcomes in a growing, scaling SaaS company THROUGH other people.

Your communication, leadership and tactical know-how will have to be exemplary. Your previous work will reflect that.


10-15 years + in operations, production, quality and product safety(or food safety) leadership roles(Plant Management, Production Management, Operations Management, etc.)

10-15 years + experience in consulting(performance management consulting in process manufacturing environment) or in technology companies(a portion of which are cloud-based SaaS solutions) that deploy their solutions in regulated process manufacturing facilities.

You'll need an in-depth familiarity and understanding of the regulatory standards within the regulated process manufacturing industries | FSSC 22000 | USDA | FDA | SQF | BRC | ISO

As a process manufacturing expert, you'll need to have experience working in environments where Statistical Process Control applications are or have been used to gain operational efficiencies, whether they be MES | OEE | TQM | TPM | CMM type applications or programs


Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required.

Additional experience, class work and/or certifications in the areas of Kaizen, Lean Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence, etc.
